Watch this short video on how to install the Aquacue Barnacle on a typical residential water meter in minutes so that you can detect leaks, conserve water and reduce your water bill. Aquacue makes people feel good about how they use their water.
If the water meter is a pit with a metal cover, then you must use the wired antenna that clips to the metal lid (not shown).

This looks like a great product. I’m curious to see how we might use this to facilitate better water use evaluations for our customers.
Please consider introducing an app for Android too (not everyone is an Apple fan).
Any issues with the water agency objecting to having the barnacle in “their” meter pit?

Hello David, So far we have not had any issues with water utilities. Normally they welcome the opportunity for their customers to become water use efficient. The Aquacue Barnacle is non-invasive and does not impact the water meter in anyway. It is a tool to help the customer get real-time access to their own water use and help them to reduce waste due to leaks, cut costs and troubleshoot their water use. Good point on Android. Our goal is to provide the apps and web-apps to allow our users to have a positive experience on any Internet enabled device.

I am interested in the two sensors that get strapped to the water meter. I presume they sense the magnetic field. Can I purchase them separately, and/or can I obtain a spec sheet for the circuit?

Hi Eugene,
The magnetic sensors are part of the Barnacle and are not for sale as separate item. Thank you for your interest.
